Jaws, 1975
Directed By: Steven Spielberg
The film "Jaws" starts off with, The movie begins with a young woman called Chrissie Watkins killed while swimming in the water at night by an unseen creature. Although her death is first thought to have been caused by a boating accident, Martin Brody, the town's police chief, believes there may be more to it. Chief Brody begins an investigation into the awful event and finds evidence that suggests there was likely a shark attack.
The mayor and other leaders of the town, however, are hesitant to admit the threat because they are worried about how it would affect tourism. The safety of the town is in danger as a result of numerous attacks, so Chief Brody recruits Quint, an experienced shark hunter, for assistance. Quint decides to assist in exchange for a sizable payment, and he teams up marine biologist Matt Hooper, to track down and kill the shark. The trio sets out into the ocean on Quint's boat, the Orca, in order to locate and deal with the great white shark. They face many challenges and dangerous encounters with the giant predator along the way.
The men eventually find the shark as their fear grows and the threat increases. They fight the strong beast in an exciting and furious struggle. Their determination and bravery are put to the test throughout the encounter.
The plot driver in the movie "Jaws" is the great white shark itself because it serves as the plot driver that sets everything in motion. The shark's presence and its attacks on swimmers and boaters create fear and panic in the small town, leading to the conflict and following events of the movie.
The 3 main acts of the film begin with, Amity Island, a coastal community, is introduced to us as it gets ready for the busy summer travel season. The protagonist, Martin Brody and the new Amity police head, is established. When Chrissie Watkins, a young woman, drowns while swimming in the ocean, it marks the first shark attack. The mayor and other local officials minimize the incident and deny that a shark was present. The second shark attack, which served as the catalyst, erases any question regarding the threat the shark provides to the community. The characters actively pursue their goal while dealing with growing difficulties and obstacles throughout the second act, which is the longest section of the film.
Quint, a shark hunter, marine biologist Matt Hooper, and Chief Brody make the decision to kill the shark in order to defend the community. To locate and destroy the shark, the group sets out in Quint's boat, the Orca.
As they confront difficulties, the strength and aggression of the shark, and their own personal issues, tension increases. Quint connects with Brody and Hooper despite their different personalities by sharing his experiences with sharks and giving background information. An important turning point in the plot occurs when the team spots the shark and engages in a perilous and fierce struggle with it. In the final act, Dramatic and terrifying scenes result from the Orca being attacked by the shark repeatedly. The men's courage and perseverance are put to the test during the climactic portion of the strong fight with the shark.
The battle's outcome is followed by the resolution, which reveals the outcome of the protagonists and the effects of their experiences.
The Main character changes that I noticed was in Matt Hooper, he was a young and enthusiastic marine biologist who arrives in the town to investigate the first shark attack. Although he is informed about sharks and their habits, the town's leaders, who are more focused on tourism, first reject him and are skeptical. Hooper's commitment to his profession grows as the situation worsens and the shark threat's reality is established. Even when the mayor and Quint object, he grows more insistent in his demand that something be done to stop the shark.Hooper has changed into a man of unshakeable will and self-assurance in his knowledge. Chief Brody and Quint respect him more as he becomes more self-assured and gets their appreciation for his expertise and abilities.
